Best & rawest Esquerita performances
Posted by Mike Cook on 4th Sep 2020
Of all his recordings this LP captures Esquerita's raw craziness the best. The fidelity isn't as high as his Capitol stuff but the moment where you hear his piano stool fall over with a loud clunk during "I Got A Lot To Learn" and he *keeps going* is one of my fave LOL moments in the whole history of rock and roll.

Record malfunct
Posted by Bryant on 17th Dec 2015
First thing was the hole in the record was not made to fit. I had to force it to fit the record player. Second, the record does not play right. Esquerita sounds like a demon & I even checked all the speeds. Not sure what happened. First time a Norton vinyl has ever had these issues.
