Brenston was a must on the jukebox across the tracks at Mrs Dunbar's BarBeque where I parked my Olds 88 convertible. Hey Man! Clarksdale, Mississippi! What else you want? And that's not even accounting for B.B. King, Sam Phillips, birth of Sun, that nasty Ike Turner, the tenor Sax, horn of the 50's! Funk Great Earl Hooker, et.al. The cuts are a FINE selection of R&B classics done before & after Jackie Brenston but none more authentic. "True Love" is a good example, if you like Chuck Willis & Clyde McPhatter, you'll like him. They were on the juke, too.
