50 Shades of Sun (Part Two)

This disc, and it's sister album, BOPPEN THE BLUES together provide 50 examples of the Sun melange of blues/R&B/rockabilly/country that shift constantly between those poles. BOPPIN is supposed to be more R&B, but many of the songs could easily go to BIG BAD as well. Many on both discs are featured in THE BLUES CAME DOWN FROM MEMPHIS, maybe Charly's best single collection ever for any genre or company. You want both of these, because while some artists are shared on both, there are others like Howlen' Wolf and Ike Turner that are only on one or the other. Booklet has a show stealing pic of Willie Nix (again) this time looking like he's up to absolutely no good. Vital listening.
