(Norton 409) Here comes the new album from Miriam, produced, instrumentalified, and sashayed to perfection by Sam Elwitt! This time, the pair tackle a heavy hitting stash of previously untackle-able favorite obscuros and add two killer Elwitt comps that are sure to stun! Get ready for another roll – gorgeously produced by Mr Elwitt and fabulously infested by super strings by Gregor Kitzis.

The Hand Don't Fit The Glove/I Keep Falling In Love/Take Me For A Little While/Cheryl's Going Home/Get Away/Don't Talk To Strangers/Down Today/Love To Love/Afterglow/One More Rainy Day/Don't Be Taken In/Our Love Can Still Be Saved/Which End Is Up/You've Got A Habit Of Leaving

Hands down, the best record I’ve heard all year!!!

Posted by Daniel Gomez on 21st Nov 2021

I picked up this album based on the opening track and album cover alone (it looks so damn classic!) and haven’t even been able to play any of the other albums I ordered since I keep playing this over and over. Somehow, Miriam and Sam manage to take already great songs and make them sound perfect. Though what really puts this over the top is Miriam’s voice. One moment it’s pure joy and the next it’s reminiscent of the drama of classics from the Shangri-Las. I’ll eventually get around to listening to the other records I ordered, but in the meantime, I’ll be keeping this one on the turntable for the foreseeable future.

Pure brilliance. Not jus anyone can take classic sounds and transform them into something so new and fresh. Good thing my neighbors love it too because it’s testing my speakers.

Pleased to say this sophomore effort is just a good as the debut. Recommended
